Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX – A Small Yet Powerful Notebook From Sony
When we first opened the box to find our brand new Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX, we were amazed of its small size. Measuring just 13.6 inches width, 1.07 inches height, and just 9.39 inches depth, and weighting less than 5.2 lbs, this little laptop emanates style and elegance. Although not powerful in any way, it is still very versatile and can be successfully used to perform numerous tasks. The Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX can be your travel companion and help you enjoy a good movie, as well as help you when you need to quickly edit a few graphics in Photoshop for your boss.
Featuring an Intel Core i5 450 M, working at a speed of 2.4 GHz (although by using the Turbo Boost one can go up to 2.66 GHz), its processing power is not as great as that of some of its competitors. However, neither is its price. Its small Intel HD video card is perfect for outputting bright and clear graphics on its small 14 inch backlit LED display. The display supports a maximum resolution of just 1366 x 768 pixels, so don’t expect very much from it. The hard disc is large, offering 500 GB of space for your movies, music, documents, and games. However, spinning at just 5400 rotations per minute (RPM), it decreases the overall performance of the Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX.
The Intel High Definition audio system outputs clear sound regardless of the volume, as long as the media is of high quality. Music enthusiasts should enjoy the clearness of the sound. Although a cheap laptop, it has a Bluray drive (although just read-only) included and also supports Bluetooth stereo A2DP integrated technology. The electrostatic touchpad (with multi finger support) is also a great addition as it greatly enhances pointing speed and precision.
Although not as feature-packed as some of its competitors, the Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX has most of the features that are really needed, like the built in camera featuring face tracking technology and integrated microphone, electrostatic touch pad (with multi finger support), Memory Stick PRO (with both STD and Duo support + MagicGate functionality) media slot, ExpressCard media slot, SD (Secure Digital) memory card slot, Intel wireless display capability, Intel Centrino Advanced N 6200 Wi-Fi interface, and HDMI output port.
With our new Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX came some free software: original Microsoft Windows 7 (only Home edition is free), Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, Adobe Premiere Elements 8, Adobe Acrobat Standard 9, Sony’s own Creativity Suite, Microsoft Office 2010 (only the Starter edition is free of charge), and Norton Internet Security 2010 (wou get only a trial of 30 days). Of course, we have also received the standard one year warranty, international service, and limited onsite service.

Although a small, stylish, and elegant laptop, the Sony VAIO VPCEA2JFX is also very versatile. What it lacks in power it manages to recover in speed, agility, and price difference when compared to its more powerful competitors.
