Try the Sony VAIO VPCEB2JFX – A Small But Amazing Laptop

The Sony VAIO VPCEB2JFX is an EB series laptop that manages to captivate its user with its stylish and elegant design, as well as with its performance and versatility. Although not the most powerful of laptops, nor the most feature rich, this laptop has its own unique characteristics that make it attractive. There’s something unique about every VAIO notebook. Constantly evolving, each model in the lineup features innovative design elements and a rare blend of colors and textures that cannot be overlooked.

As we all know, the most important factor when it comes to laptops are their size and weight. The Sony VAIO VPCEB2JFX stands its ground, measuring just 14.56 inches width, 1.22 inches height, and 9.77 inches depth, and weighing less than 5.9 lbs with the standard capacity battery included. Although fairly smaller than some of its competitors, it still packs a good punch due to its Intel Core i3 350 M central processing unit (CPU), working at a good speed of 2.26 GHz and on an L3 cache of 3 MB. Its 4 GB (two sticks of 2 GB each) DDR 3 working on a FSB (front side bus) of 1066 MHz of random access memory (RAM) are enough to back up the processing power and make for a very versatile laptop. Please note that RAM can be increased to a maximum cap of 8 GB.

The hard disk is large, offering 500 GB of space, but at a lower, 5400 rotations per minute (RPM) speed. A simple Intel HD Graphics video card provides clear and bright images at a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768. The display is a standard 15.5 inches, without any notable traits. The Intel High Definition sound system is very potent and music enthusiasts will certainly love it.

Although it does not have as many features as some of its competitors, the Sony VAIO VPCEB2JFX has the most useful ones, like the Bluetooth stereo A2DP technology, Memory Stick PRO (able to recognize both STD and Duo technologies) media slot (MagicGate technology enabled), built in web camera featuring the new and interactive face tracking technology, built in microphone, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 Wi-Fi interface, Wireless display capability, electrostatic touchpad (with the multi finger feature), and Blu-ray drive (only read-only unfortunately).

As with other Sony VAIO laptops, the Sony VAIO VPCEB2JFX comes with a genuine copy of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system (Home edition on 64 bits), Sony’s own proprietary Creativity Suite, Adobe’s latest Creative Bundle (containing Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, Adobe Premiere Elements 8, and Adobe Acrobat Standard 9), Norton Internet Security 2010 antivirus and antispyware (with just 30 days of free trail), and Microsoft Office 2010 Starter edition for all your office needs.
